The Pet Store Improves Efficiency

    • The Pet Store Receives DEP Grant

The Pet Store, a small family-owned business in Chambersburg, PA, worked with the Shippensburg SBDC to upgrade to more efficient LED lighting and received a $6,743 grant from PA DEP to assist with the costs.

Grants for Philadelphia Dry Cleaners

The Clean Air Council, in cooperation with the City of Philadelphia, is providing limited grants to existing, co-located Perc dry cleaning facilities that will be retrofitted with non-Perc machines.  Applications must be received by October 31, 2012.

Pesticide General Permit Finalized

Pennsylvania developed an NPDES general permit (PAG-15) which is intended to provide coverage to operators who apply biological and chemical pesticides in certain quantities which leave a residue.

Proposed Amendments for Engine Rules

EPA has proposed amendments to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for stationary reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE).
