Pennsylvania DEP to Offer Free Energy Management Workshops for Small Businesses Statewide

Learn how to reduce your high energy costs through easily implemented, cost effective changes for commercial and industrial facilities. Find out about financial and technical resources that are available for energy efficiency upgrades at your business. These free morning workshops are sponsored by the Office of the Small Business Ombudsman of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and will be held across the Commonwealth in partnership with the following local business assistance providers and organizations:
Electrotechnology Applications Center (ETAC)
Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP)
Duquesne Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia
Northwest Industrial Resource Center
Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce
Gannon Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
PAEP Pollution Prevention/Energy Efficiency Roundtable
Lehigh University Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
SEDA-Council of Governments (SEDA-COG)
Lancaster County Career & Technology Center
SMC Business Councils
These half-day workshops will be held from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and will provide information on energy supply options, illustrate how to identify energy cost-saving opportunities and show how to develop an energy action plan. Doors open at 7:45 AM.
Registration for the workshops is free (click here to register) , and the sessions are open to the public. Funding for the workshops is provided through a U.S. Department of Energy grant. The workshops will be held on the following dates at these locations:
