The PA Department of Environmental Protection announced on Monday, December 7th, that the Small Business Advantage Grant has reopened. Approximately $1 million dollars is available for energy efficiency and pollution prevention projects. Applications are now being accepted and funds will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until January 15th, or until the funds are exhausted.
Under the program, businesses can apply for a 50 percent matching grant of up to $7,500 for taking actions that save at least 20 percent annually in energy or pollution-related costs. To be eligible, an applicant must be a for-profit company with 100 or few employees.
For more information on the grant program can be found at www.depweb.state.pa.us, keyword: SBAdvantage, or by mail by calling 717-783-8411.

Since 2004 when DEP first began the Small Business Advantage Grant Program, EMAP clients have received 189 grants for $1.1 million of the $4.9 million awarded since the program began.
