Alison is an environmental consultant at the Lehigh University SBDC, providing assistance to clients in the northeastern part of the state.

Prior to joining EMAP, Alison served for a year as the Director of the Northern Allegheny Project for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. Prior to her work at PEC, she served four years as the Program Coordinator for the Potomac Watershed Partnership, one of 15 national pilot projects established by the USDA Forest Service in 2000 to facilitate the cooperative engagement of federal, state and nonprofit organizations to improve the ecological and economic integrity of the land, water and wildlife of major watersheds throughout the nation.

Prior working with the PWP, Alison was the Executive Director for the Blackstone Valley Community Pollution Prevention Project (CPPP). The CPPP is a technical outreach and education program covering twenty-four communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that grew out of her outreach work with the Narragansett Bay-based environmental organization Save the Bay. CPPP's community-based approach to water quality issues has been a resource for technical pollution prevention and helped secure regulatory assistance for small businesses, community groups, and municipal officials.

Alison served on the Governor's Task Force for the Development of the Port of Quonset (Rhode Island), the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs' Blackstone River Basin Team, and the Urban Rivers Initiative (Rhode Island), among other appointments. She has a host of water quality, toxic use reduction, and standards training certificates. Alison earned her degrees in Environmental Science and Political Science from the University of Vermont and Canterbury University.
