Tom joined the EMAP team in May 2007 as an Energy Consultant. Prior to joining the SBDC full-time, Tom worked closely with the Energy Projects Coordinator as a part-time energy efficiency intern from June 2005 to May 2007 assisting consultants with energy efficiency projects for their clients.
Presently, he works with small business owners, as well as other environmental consultants, throughout Pennsylvania assisting with energy efficiency and pollution prevention audits, grant writing, and general energy efficiency questions. Primary areas of energy efficiency assistance are heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC), lighting, refrigeration, and machine motor technologies. In addition to energy efficiency technology assistance, he has experience working with clients and their air permitting needs.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Environmental Management from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also planning to pursue a Master’s of Applied Geosciences degree beginning in the Fall of 2007. |
